Hello Yummy!ย

I stopped into my adorable little, local cupcake shop today. So pretty in pink, and so many choices. I stopped in for my sons birthday and some special treats. I am a sucker for a cupcake and love them for birthdays! I decided on mini cupcakes because, well, I couldn’t decide! Haha! Highlight flavors today were Salted Caramel, and French Toast! What?! Yum. Who’s gonna be more excited for desert? Me or him? I can’t tell…

What are your favorite birthday treats?

And, your favorite flavors?

My little guy graduates Pre-K…๐ŸŒฟ

My little guy is graduating from Pre-K! I’m a proud mama. And, I plucked some flowers out of the garden for his teacher. A patient women with a class full of predominantly boys. Bless her. She filled out the first installment of sentiments to him In the Dr. Seuss book “Oh the Places you’ll Go”. A little Pinterest idea that has teachers sign and I can give it as a gift when he graduates High School. Cute, huh? But, ugh. I don’t want to think that far in advance…๐Ÿ˜ฉ . . .

Happy Memorial Day Weekend…

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ There’s not much huge commentary needed today, other then the fact that we are grateful and thankful for our freedom and the men, women and animals that have helped and are helping to provide that for us. Safe travels and may our freedoms for all continue in this important, potentially changing time for us all…

On An Axis…

I have been looking for maps to complete a pirate playhouse in our backyard. I am still on the hunt. But, I did find a couple compelling things at a vintage shop in downtown Tacoma called Urban Squirrel. It just has opened and had an interesting assortment of items. Including, a loose globe.

I wasn’t sure I wanted it until, I came across a fantastic lamp piece. Aged and detailed, it seemed to make perfect sense to put the two together. I imagined a rod through the middle as an axis.

The shop owner agreed and suggested I head over to a little hardware shop called Lincoln Hardware.

Needless to say, she was right. They were so friendly and accommodating it was impressive. In fact, two other people came in during the time I was there for small unique projects and their questions were looked on as willing challenges by, who I assumed, might be the owners. It was wonderfully, small town refreshing.

As you can see we came up with a nice resolution and this world globe lives to see another day. And, hopefully spurn on some learning for a little one for now. And, maybe a nice little decor item for later…

Wanna hear something adorable?ย

When my 5 year old son comes home and he says “Mom, I have a surprise for you.” Me: “Oh, yeah?” He opens up a little bubble container(the kind out of the .25 cent machines) and says he got me a diamond necklace (Giddy, beyond giddy!) I got you this, it’s for you mom! By the way, we are also getting married and having a dance party and getting a trophy for it, as of earlier today. Yeah, I’m totally in love and still wearing it. Proud mama alert. ๐Ÿ˜
